The Hideout owners fell in love with Lake Hawkins during the pandemic in the summer of 2020. We came to Hawkins, specifically Lake Hawkins, to enjoy nature, be near the beautiful clear spring-fed lake, marvel at the Piney Woods, and find our peace. We bought this land in March 2021 and began developing luxury rental cabin homes in June 2021 so that other people could enjoy and fall in love with our little "hideout," too. We are open and booking now and offer couples/family getaways, as well as custom events and weddings ... and we're selling Hawkins and Hideout inspired gear, too! We're a 45 minute drive from both Tyler and Longview and 1.5 hours from DFW. Located just one mile north of Highway 80 on the left side of the road you can find our little paradise tucked in the Piney Woods of East Texas.
